Severe storms producing large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes tore through the Central Plains this evening. The first tornado of the day was reported at 3:57PM CDT near Scott City, Kansas. A couple hours later, tree and building damage was reported in Oklahoma near the town of Creek, Oklahoma. At that time, the radar signature supports that this was very likely a tornado, nonetheless, a couple injuries were reported.

The most intense tornado of the afternoon was just southwest of Dodge City Kansas, which was first reported a little after 6pm. This tornado was very intense, and even had a second tornado on the ground at the same time.

Structural damage was reported with this tornado, near the town of Dodge City, Kansas.  The National Weather Service in Dodge City will send out their survey crews Wednesday to survey the tornado damage. WeatherNation will bring you those survey results as soon as they are released, so check back for updates.

The severe threat isn’t over. The threat of severe weather will still exist Wednesday through Friday, so make sure to stay tuned to WeatherNationTV.com.
