Severe Weather Chances for Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia on Wednesday
The severe weather risk over east Texas and the Mississippi Valley Tuesday will push farther to the east for Wednesday. Parts of Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia will have a Marginal risk of severe weather by Wednesday.
Severe Weather Outlook (Wednesday)
The strongest risk will located in the northern part of the region. The main severe risks will be heavy rain, large hail and some isolated tornadoes.
The timing for the storms on Wednesday will be during the morning through the late afternoon with the stronger storms likely taking place during the later part of the day. Heavy rain, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes will all be possible with these storms.
Beneficial rain is in the forecast for the south with some areas seeing over 3 inches of rain through Friday morning. Drought conditions are high for a large portion of the this region, so any rain will be a welcomed sight.
