This weekend, it was the flooding that caused problems in Texas. This week, its the severe storms that could be the concern. There is a risk for severe thunderstorm later this afternoon and through the evening in western Oklahoma, the Texas Panhandle, and a small part of southern Kansas and southeastern Colorado.
The Storm Prediction Center also issued an enhanced risk for cities, including Liberal, KS, Pampa, TX, Woodward, OK, Elk City, OK, and Guymon, OK. The nature of the storms most likely will be pop up supercells that produce large hail and damaging winds. There is also the potential for a tornado or two.
It already looks to be an active week in the Lone Star State. On Tuesday and Wednesday, severe risk persists in the south.
