Severe Weather Outlook for Thursday Through Saturday

19 Oct 2017, 1:41 pm

Only a small chance for a few strong storms Thursday with a marginal risk of severe weather over southern New Mexico and far west Texas.  The main threats will be large hail and damaging winds… There will not be a risk of tornadoes.

There are no risks of severe weather on Friday…just some general thunderstorms in parts of the Upper Midwest and Southern Plains.

The severe weather chances will be increasing across the Central Plains by Saturday afternoon.

The Storm Prediction Center has already issued an enhanced risk of severe weather for parts of Oklahoma, Texas and southern Kansas.  An enhanced risk means that numerous severe storms will be possible with a few tornadoes, damaging winds and hail larger than 1″ in diameter. Here is the very latest!
