Just like that, it’s ski season again as Arapahoe Basin ski area in Colorado opens for the season.
Skiers and snowboarders can rejoice as the ski season has officially began. Arapahoe Basin ski area opened for the season Friday October 21st with a mix of artificial and mother nature provided snowfall. Arapahoe Basin which sits at 10,780 feet in elevation, was the first resort to open in the country after a short sabbatical since the middle of June earlier this year. Not far from Arapahoe Basin, the Loveland Ski Area plans to open later this week.
Other ski resorts in Colorado and across the country will soon follow suit and open for the season as the weather and snow conditions dictate.
Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe in California, is scheduled to open for skiing on Monday, Oct. 31, with good early season snow giving them a jump on other California resorts.
