Small Thunderstorms Fire Up in Midwest This Morning

25 Sep 2008, 10:15 am

This morning some small thunderstorms developed along a weak warm front in the northwestern Iowa, western Kansas, and southern Minnesota region of the Great Plains. Tornadoes are not likely with these storms as they continue to slowly propagate along an east-northeasterly path, however they have and will likely to continue to produce small hail and gusty winds.

Below is a video of our HAMrad II product covering the storms as they formed overlain with warnings and radar summary.
