Snow has been falling in New England over the last 24 hours and it is piling up in parts of Maine. Accumulations will continue into this evening with some areas seeing another 3 to 4 inches, bringing some totals to around a foot. Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are still in effect for northern and eastern sections of the state.

The low pressure center that brought the snow from the Midwest to New England is slowly moving eastward. It will push into Canada later tonight. Northern and Eastern Maine will see the snow gradually diminish this evening and come to an end by the overnight.
