Snow Continues in Maine & the Pacific Northwest Mountains

Two areas of heavy snow continue across the country: Northern Maine and the mountains of Idaho & Western Montana. Snow is expected to diminish this evening in Maine, but several areas have seen near a foot. An additional 1-3″ is possible into the evening.

A Winter Storm Warning continues through the evening in far Northern Maine. The snow will come to an end by the overnight as the low pressure center continues to move away from the region.

In the Pacific Northwest, snow continues to fall as a slow moving low pressure center and cold front pushes through the area. The snow has ended in the Cascades, but continues for the Bitterroots.

Winter Weather Advisories continue for Eastern Idaho and Western Montana. As the low pressure center moves away tomorrow, the snow will start to diminish. The highest elevations could see an additional 6″ of fresh powder.
