It “Snowed” in Florida on Thursday, and We Have Proof
A cold front, that pushed through eastern two-thirds of the country over the last couple of days, brought bitterly cold air as far south of the Florida Panhandle. The brief bout of cold air in the normally-warm Sunshine State, was strong enough the help wring out a few snow flakes in Jacksonville, Fla. The coastal city is located in the northwest corner of the state, just south of the Georgia state line.
There wasn’t any accumulation in Jacksonville, but it was enough that people whipped out their phones to capture video of the odd spectacle. Thursday, highs topped out near 40 and temps will be back in the 60s by the weekend.
