Early Monday morning heavy rain fell in the city of St. Louis, Missouri prompting the National Weather Service to issue Flash Flood Warnings.
Many roads and underpasses were flooded out. Thousands woke up to power outages across the city.
As of 8 am local time, St. Louis had picked up more than 4.25 inches of rainfall in just a 24-hour period.
More rainfall is expected across the city and surrounding areas in the next couple of days.
