Strong to Severe Storms for New Mexico Tuesday

3 Oct 2017, 11:59 am

A cold front pushing into northern New Mexico will be the focus for showers and storms Tuesday afternoon.  The cold front and sufficient surface heating should be able to generate some widely scattered thunderstorms for Tuesday afternoon and evening.  This weather environment will be favorable for isolated supercells with the potential for an isolated tornado, large hail and damaging winds.

Here is a look at all of the severe weather threats with Tuesday’s storms.

The latest timing for these showers and storms will be during the peak heating hours during the late afternoon and early evening.  Here is the very latest timing on our Forecast Radar.
