A cold front is going to bring some changes to Montana just in time for the weekend.
The main weather change will be very strong winds. Winds will be so strong that a High Wind Watch is in effect for north central Montana through Friday night.
Areas under this watch will likely experience winds out of the west at 30 to 40 mph and wind gusts approaching 60 mph. Trees weakened by recent snow could be at risk for damage and that might lead to downed branches and power lines.
Not only will this cold front bring in the strong winds, but there will be plenty of cold air behind it. Take a look at how far the temperatures drop through the weekend.
