A system moving out of southern Canada will bring strong winds to the Northern and Central Plains by Wednesday. Wind advisories and high wind warnings will be possible for Wyoming, the Dakotas, Nebraska and Kansas.
Windy Weather Setup
An area of low pressure and an associated cold front will pack a punch as they sweep through the plains Wednesday. On the eastern and northeastern side of this system there will be a chance for heavy snow, but west of this system is where the strongest winds will be setting up.
Next Weather System
Another weather system will be moving into the region by the Thursday/Friday timeframe. This system will also have the potential to bring more strong winds to the forecast.
