Windy weather is in the forecast today for parts of Wyoming, Colorado, Utah and Nevada on Monday.  Wind gusts over 50 mph will be possible and several high wind warnings have been issued by the National Weather Service.

Windy Weather Set-Up

Here is a look at the latest surface forecast for Monday.  A cold front and developing area of low pressure will generate strong winds over the Northern and Central Rockies.  Wind speeds will likely be consistently in the 20 to 30 mph range, but wind gusts could be over 50 mph!

Severe Risks

Wind advisories and high wind warnings are in effect for Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada and Arizona.  Winds this strong could lead to downed trees, limbs and even power outages.  Anyone traveling in high profile vehicles will need to take extra caution on the roads, especially for the first half of the day.
