A cold front will bring the chance for strong to severe thunderstorms for parts of South and North Carolina and southern Virginia. The threat for damaging winds and isolated tornadoes will be in this region for Monday afternoon. The severe weather risk will move northeast for Tuesday.

Hot temperatures will be building over the southwest U.S. Monday and Tuesday. High temperatures could reach the triple digits for parts of southern California. This will continue to add to the high fire danger…especially in southern California.
Record highs will be possible in Los Angeles and San Diego!
COLD AIR FOR THE GREAT LAKES
A cold air mass will be setting up over the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes by Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures will be well below normal for parts of Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.
