Top Weather Stories for Monday, November 13, 2017
Here is a look at some of the big weather stories we’re following today on-air and online.
Stormy Weather for the Pacific Northwest
More active weather is on the way for the Pacific Northwest this week. Parts of Washington and Oregon could even see some strong to severe storms with damaging winds and a threat for an isolated tornado.
Snow and Rain for the Northeast
Snow and rain pushing through the Northeast this morning should be moving out by the afternoon.
Showers and thunderstorms are showing some signs of organization with a low pressure system located southwest of the Azores. The environment will be favorable for tropical development over the next 5 days. This system will likely move northeastward and not impact land.
Potential Severe Weather
A cold front will be moving through the Central United States later this week and it could help generate severe storms. It’s still very far out in the forecast and a lot could change, but there is some agreement with the forecast models on some active weather by Friday.
