Here is a look at some of the big weather stories we are following today on-air and online.
There have been some improvements with the wildfire containment effort thanks to the weather pattern setting up over the area. We could see some strong winds over the next few days so we will need to watch these fires very closely.
A quick moving low pressure system is bringing heavy snow to parts of Wisconsin and Michigan. 4-8″ of snowfall will be possible with this system as it moves east and southeast.
The same system that brought the snow is also bringing some strong winds with it too. Wind advisories are in effect for the High Plains south into the Mississippi Valley. Wind gusts up to 55 mph will be possible.
