Here is a look at some of the big weather stories we are following on air and online.

Tropics Update

Tropical Storm Rina is strengthening and moving northeast into the cold Atlantic waters.  Rina will not impact land over the next few days, but the U.K. and Ireland will likely keep a close eye on the extended forecast.

Heavy Rain for the Pacific Northwest

A cold front will bring heavy rain chances for the Pacific Northwest Wednesday into Thursday.  There could even be a few thunderstorms, but no severe weather in the forecast.

Snow Chances for the Great Lakes

A strong surge of cold air moving over Lake Superior and Lake Michigan will likely produced scattered snow showers.  Heavy snow will be possible in parts of the UP of Michigan and North Central Wisconsin.

Arctic Blast for the Northeast by Friday

The Arctic cold front will move through the Northeast Thursday and that will allow well below normal temperatures for the Northeast.  Record lows will be possible across the region for Saturday morning.
