A cold front moving through Iowa has been producing tornadoes this afternoon with damage reported in a few areas. A strong low pressure center sliding into Minnesota is creating spin in the atmosphere, providing just enough energy aloft and wind shear.

Tornado warnings were issued for portions of Central and Eastern Iowa as the storms moved through. Small, narrow funnels were sighted and have touched down in a few areas.
Damage was reported with the first tornado of the day in Iowa, near Radcliffe.

Areas near Grundy Center and Parkersburg, west of Waterloo, had the most tornadoes reported. Storms are expected to diminish in intensity by this evening.
