BREAKING: TORNADO EMERGENCY ISSUED OKLAHOMA

BREAKING UPDATES:

  • TORNADO EMERGENCY: Issued for Newcastle, OK and Bridge Creek, OK until 5:30pm CDT. Massive tornado moving NE 10 mph. Large tornado going through south Newcastle, OK confirmed by local fire and police departments. Tornado Warning for Cleveland, McClain, OK till 6:00 PM CDT. LOCATED NEAR NEWCASTLE…MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH

 

  • anadarko Tornadoes were reported in Kansas and Oklahoma on Wednesday afternoon, and stronger storms could be approaching the Oklahoma City metropolitan area in the next two hours. Storms moving northeast roughly parallel to I-44 are moving The National Weather Service office in Norman, Oklahoma issued a special weather statement alerting residents in the Oklahoma City metro area to be on alert as storms are expected to arrive in the area between 4:30 and 5:00pm CDT. Tornadoes, hail and strong winds are likely with these storms. Trees and outhouses were reportedly damaged with an earlier tornado near Lincoln Center, Kansas, and another tornado was reported just after 3:30pm CDT near Ionia, Kansas. Numerous tornado warnings – primarily concentrated north of I-70 in Kansas – have been in place much of the afternoon. Residents in central Kansas, southern Nebraska, Oklahoma City and northern Texas need to be on alert as these dangerous storms continue to move.
