Triple Tropical Trouble in the Central Pacific
The tropical action has been centered in the Eastern Pacific all season with eight named systems to date. Hurricane Danny formed in the Atlantic basin earlier this week. There hasn’t been a named system in the Central Pacific basin in a while; until Thursday night.
Two tropical depressions formed in the Central Pacific within the last 24 hours, and they are forecasted to become Kilo and Loke by Saturday.
Tropical Depression 3-C, the one currently nearest to Hawaii, is also forecasted to become a Category 2 Hurricane within the next five days as it nears the west end of the Hawaiian island chain. Those with interests in Hawaii or are looking to visit the islands should keep abreast of the latest conditions on these tropical systems.
