Tropical Storm Emily has officially made landfall.
The storm made landfall Monday morning at Anna Maria Island at 10:45 a.m. EDT.

Florida Governor Rick Scott declared a state of emergency ahead of the storm making landfall. Thirty-one counties in Florida were included within that state of emergency.
While tropical storm warnings are in effect for several counties along the coast, Gov. Scott said that there are no evacuation orders in effect.
The National Hurricane Center has Emily crossing over the state of Florida through Monday and Tuesday will heavy rain moving from west to east. Impacts will be felt across the Georgia and Carolina coasts through the end of the week with rip currents and high surf being a big concern through Friday.
