Tropical Storm Harvey Continues Inland

30 Aug 2017, 1:09 pm

Not one, but two (technically 3) separate landfalls along the gulf coast have spread Harvey’s impacts from Texas to Florida. Widespread flooding, tornadoes, and severe thunderstorms have been consistent and as Harvey continues to move inland those impacts will spread in the coming days.

The Forecast

As Harvey moves into the main land in the coming days, the storm is expected to weaken greatly– becoming a tropical depression by Thursday and remnant low soon there after.

Despite weakening Harvey is still expected to dump heavy rain across the southern states in the coming days.

That means the potential for flooding stretches from the Gulf Coast to the mid Mississippi Valley.

In addition to the heavy rainfall in the coming days, there is also the threat of severe weather.
