Tropical Storm Nate Has Formed Over Nicaragua

Tropical Depression Sixteen developed into Tropical Storm Nate early Thursday morning.

Nate has max sustained winds of 40 mph and is moving northwest at 8 mph.  Nate will continue this current movement throughout the morning, but will then become faster with it’s movement late Thursday and early Friday.

The current forecast track has the center of Nate moving over northeast Nicaragua and eastern Honduras Thursday and then moving into the northwest Caribbean see Thursday night and Friday morning.

Right now it looks landfall will be anywhere from Louisiana to the Florida Panhandle. This storm is still severe days out from making landfall in the U.S. and a lot can change with the forecast track. This is just an estimation and will likely look different with future forecasts.
