Tropical Storm Norma has formed in the Pacific.

While the focus has been on the Atlantic lately with Irma and Jose, the Pacific has been active as well.
Tropical Storm Norma formed Thursday morning southeast of Socorro Island.
Norma has maximum sustained winds of 40 miles per hour. It has a minimum central pressure of 1004 mb and is moving north at 5 mph.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) says that Norma continues to increase in organization and that strengthening is anticipated. Norma could reach hurricane strength within 36 hours.
The forecast has it making landfall in Baja California on Monday morning.
