Tropical System to Impact Carolinas
On Sunday afternoon, the National Hurricane Center began issuing advisories on ‘Potential Tropical Cyclone 10’.
An area of thunderstorms off the South Carolina coast is expected to gradually gain tropical characteristics and move northward, impacting much of the southeast and mid-Atlantic coast through midweek.
If the system strengthens enough to gain a name, the name would be “Irma”. Tropical storm watches have already been issued for the North and South Carolina coasts.
