VIDEO: A Series of Heart-Stopping Crashes On A Slick Road in Canada

19 Dec 2014, 11:21 am

Canadians are known for their hospitality, friendliness and ability to dive in the worst of winter weather. But, black ice is universally impossible to navigate. This video from YouTube, posted by Joey Cook, shows a series of heart-stopping wrecks in Lethbridge, Canada — in the southeastern part of Alberta — on Sunday.

According to a post on his video, Joey Cook says the temperature was well below zero at the time of the accidents and the road was a sheet of ice.

The Canadian version of the Huffington Post says 15 cars crashed on Whoop-Up Drive.

“The incident began at around 5:45 p.m., when a 30-year-old driver lost control of her car due to “icy conditions.” It swerved left, then moved to the right and hit another vehicle that was heading eastbound, though neither driver sustained any injuries,” the Huffington Post reported.

No serious injuries were reported.
