The 30 day outlook for July was issued today from the Climate Prediction Center (CPC). It could be a steamy month, with warmer than average temperatures in the forecast throughout most of the nation. Below average temperatures are not anticipated anywhere in the country. Drier than normal conditions are expected around the Four Corners, with above average rainfall in the forecast along the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coasts.

Like previous months, the CPC notes that neutral water temperatures are still being found in the Pacific Ocean. Therefore, no influences are expected in July from an El Nino or La Nina. Forecasters relied heavily on weather model predictions, which were in good agreement, especially on temperature forecasts. Current overall meteorological trends were also considered.
