A large brush fire in Nanakuli, on Hawaii’s Oahu island lead to police closing westbound lanes of Farrington Highway at Ko Olina. The fire began threatening homes Thursday night.

What started as a small spark quickly grew with the help of wind and spread towards several homes and has now grown to upwards of 400 acres. Firefighters conducted water drops until sundown and the flames appear to be under control now. No injuries have been reported.
