WATCH: World’s Largest Snow Fort Built at Keystone Ski Resort in Colorado
(Keystone, CO -WeatherNation Affiliate KUSA) On the top of Keystone Mountain, Rick Seeley is busy building the largest snow fort in the world.
Working for Vail Resorts, Seeley is not allowed to do interviews with journalists, but Russell Carlton with Keystone Public Relations can.
“This is the biggest snow fort we have ever had,” Carlton said. “We do one every single year.”
They say the 3000 square foot snow fort is being built with windows, snow logs, tunnels, a maze and three slides.
“It’s going to look like an actual fort,” Carlton said.
Designed for kids, they decided to name the fort Toddler Town—but adults skiing by seemed pretty interested in the creation too.
The fort has taken two weeks to build and will open to kids and adults Saturday, December 17.
