While much of the weather across the eastern U.S. remains unsettled and cold, the West Coast will be enjoying mild temperatures and dry conditions for much of the week ahead.
A ridge of high pressure will anchor itself over the West Coast this week keeping away any potential for rain. Sunshine will rule over the coming days from Washington south into California and Nevada with above average highs being the norm. Some areas may possibly even set some new record highs this week. Stay tuned!
Unfortunately, much of California and Nevada remain under either extreme or exceptional drought. Rain is much needed for these two states. Mother Nature isn’t helping out with the drought situation here with no rain in the forecast at least through next weekend.
