Another round of snow is in the forecast for the western half of the country, but this time we are forecasting feet for some areas. As the Thanksgiving holiday travel continues this weekend, the roads will be a concern for many.
The Cascades, Siskiyous and Wasatch Mountains are where we are expecting the greatest accumulation. These mountainous areas are where we could see up to two feet of snow. The Rockies will also get their fair share of snow with at least half a foot in their forecast by the end of the weekend.
Numerous winter weather alerts have been issued through the rest of the weekend, and some even into the beginning of the work week as we continue to track this winter storm across the west. Even Arizona is getting a bit of the winter precipitation with a Winter Weather Advisory in effect through Sunday for Northern and Eastern Arizona.
