The chance for severe weather remains in the forecast over the next few days as strong storms continue to move across the nation. The risk for tornadoes, wind damage and hail will all be possible within the strongest storms.
A deep plume of moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will keep the atmosphere nearly saturated with dewpoints likely in the 60s and 70s. This will help destabilize the atmosphere, helping generate strong to severe thunderstorms through the forecast timeframe.
Here is the expected timing of thunderstorms through Sunday afternoon.
The Storm Prediction Center, or SPC, has already issued a 30% chance for severe weather on Tuesday and a 15% chance on Wednesday.
