A Red Flag Warning remains in effect from Ventura County south to San Diego until 5 PM PST. A Red Flag Warning means warm temperatures, very low humidities, and stronger winds are expected to combine to produce an increased risk of fire danger or help spread existing fires.
Gusty winds are also expected up to 35 to 45 mph through the afternoon for those under a Wind Advisory, including Ventura County Interior and Coastal Valleys, the Santa Clarita Valley, and the San Fernando Valley.
Dry conditions are expected to continue through the end of the week before the return of clouds and fog into the weekend as a trough of low pressure moves in.
