Between extreme flooding last week in Leominster, Attleboro and Providence, RI, impacts from Hurricane Lee and the generally soggy summer, the Northeast and New England have had their fair share of wet weather within the last few weeks. Unfortunately, more rain is on the way today, with flood alerts in effect for much of New England today.

Another 2-4" of rainfall is coming to the area, with the heaviest rain through interior Maine and New Hampshire along with Rhode Island. While areas in Northern New England should be able to handle the heaviest of the rainfall, we will likely see flooding around southern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Please do not drive through flooded roadways!

The heaviest rain will be through early evening today. We will likely see impacts to urban areas in the way of ponding on the roadways and a slow evening commute home.
