NC Ski Areas Get Ready for Incoming Snow Dec 8, 2018

A state of emergency was issued by North Carolina Governor, Roy Cooper, Friday as heavy snow and ice are forecast to move through this weekend. Parts of North Carolina will see more than a foot of snow, as well as dangerous ice.

But, it’s not all bad when snow moves into North Carolina. Local ski areas are excited and welcoming the wintry weather.

WeatherNation spoke with Sugar Mountain Ski Resort in North Carolina to find out more about how this snow will affect ski operations.
