At least 70 people are dead in Texas after devastating flooding swept through the Texas Hill Country. Of those fatalities, at least 59 of them are from Kerr County, including several children who were at a summer camp.
Rescue and recovery efforts have been ongoing since the morning of July 4th. Several relief organizations are on the ground as the long road to recovery begins. Below are some of those organizations.
Minuteman Disaster Response:
Minuteman Disaster Response is dedicated to helping those impacted by natural disasters. Minuteman specializes in assisting local emergency response units, debris removal, and more.

Mercy Chefs:
Mercy Chefs is a Virginia-based nonprofit specializing in disaster relief. The organization is located in Kerr County, serving hot, chef-prepared meals to victims, first responders, and volunteers impacted by catastrophic flooding.
Mercy Chef’s first meal went out on July 5 to first responders and search and rescue crews. Public meal service begins July 6, at Citywest Church, 3139 Junction Highway in Ingram. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and dinner will be served from 4-6 p.m.
