Heat Continues in Texas

Meanwhile, the heat continues in Texas and even gets a bit hotter through the weekend. Any temperature relief we see on Friday thanks to rain and a cold front will be short-lived with highs rebounding into Friday. The ridge of high pressure that has been sitting over the Gulf of Mexico shifts west over Mexico bringing heat into the Southwest and west Texas.
