A cold front will sweep across the Mid-Atlantic Sunday morning producing a severe weather threat. This risk will be very isolated and focused in the Carolinas.

The cold front should be out of the region by the early afternoon of Sunday.

Much colder air behind the front will take over the region, and we will drop back into the average temperatures for January. Lows will drop back into the 30s for inland locations and 40s for the coast and Florida. It won't be quite as cold as last week, but still quite chilly to start the next work week!

This forecast will evolve as we get closer to the weekend, so stay with WeatherNation for the latest information.
