[I-295 near Brunswick, ME. From Maine DOT] Pockets of heavy snow continue throughout portions of New England, especially in Maine. Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect from near Portland to the Canadian Border. Up to 6" is possible by early Tuesday morning. A few areas of sleet or freezing rain may occur. Plan on slippery roads and low visibility. A low pressure center continues to move through the Atlantic Ocean, pushing humidity into New England. As the moisture spins back into Maine hitting colder air, pockets of heavy snow will remain throughout the day. As the low moves further east out to sea, the snow will come to an end Tuesday.
