UPDATE: Jefferson County Police have confirmed that there were no fatalities and no missing people from Wednesday night's storm. ------------- Jefferson City, Missouri is recovering this morning after a tornado devastated the town. Sunrise revealed extensive damage in the state capital. https://youtu.be/0LUUInS8HKc Neighborhoods surrounding downtown Jefferson had extensive damage. https://youtu.be/2u8QEkM_KsU At least 9 residents were injured as multiple structures faced partial collapses. Emergency officials worked through the night, responding to a wave of 911 calls. https://twitter.com/MSHPTrooperF/status/1131464150322962433 The storm occurred overnight on Wednesday, startling many. One resident saw the menacing twister as lighting flashes illuminated the funnel. At least 31 tornadoes have been reported across Missouri and Oklahoma from Wednesday's storms.
