A Flash Flood Emergency was issued Thursday morning, this time in Mississippi after a foot of rain fell overnight. This is the highest level of warning the National Weather Service can issue. Thursday's Flash Flood Emergency follows the same kind of alert that happened Wednesday morning in Southwest Arkansas.

The latest modeling is showing a relatively quiet night across the South. However Friday morning, heavy rain could break out across the Florida Panhandle and SW Alabama. A couple rounds of rain and storms will be possible across the Southeast especially during peak heating hours. The Weather Prediction Center has issued a Slight Risk of flooding for the rest of Thursday and Friday into the Gulf Coat region. Flooding could be possible anywhere as grounds are very saturated!
