The Storm Prediction Center has issued a CRITICAL fire danger through Monday with very low relative humidity, strong wind gusts, and hot temperatures. Many of these areas are also under ongoing drought too. The National Weather Service has portions of New Mexico under Fire Weather Watches for Tuesday.

Conditions are still favorable for fires to spread quickly across the southern 4-Corners on Tuesday.

Temperatures will be running seasonable but HOT. Make sure to avoid outdoor burning, mowing the grass, or target shooting to avoid causing fires that could get out of control.
