Flash Flood Emergency in Massachusetts Monday Night

On Monday evening, NWS Boston issued a Flash Flood Emergency for Leominster, MA. In the last six hours, rainfall estimates were over eight inches. Luckily, the rain is beginning to move out of the area tonight. However, we will see more rain in the forecast over the next few days! The City of Leominster did declare a state of emergency and asking residents to stay off the roads! Flooding has also impacted our cities in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Forecast

This weekend's stalled boundary falling moves away overnight. The next weather maker in Michigan brings in more chances of rain and thunderstorms for the East Coast Tuesday and for sure on Wednesday. A Slight Risk of flooding has already been highlighted by the Weather Prediction Center on Wednesday. With the flooding risk, a Marginal Risk of severe weather will be possible on Wednesday for New England.
