Heavy Snow Continues in Northern New England

[Traffic camera north of Portland, ME on I-95 from Monday. From Maine Department of Transportation] Heavy snow fell in parts of Maine Monday and another round of accumulating snow is ahead this afternoon (Tuesday). Winter weather alerts have been issued for interior Maine. Up to 6" may fall in the Winter Weather Advisory areas into Wednesday morning. Another low pressure center along with a series of fronts will move through the region. Snow will be heavy at times along and north of the warm front back to the low pressure center. As the system moves away from the area early Wednesday midday, pushing into the Atlantic Ocean, the snowfall will come to an end.
