Hurricane Milton Produces Numerous Large Tornadoes Across Florida

While Hurricane Milton was approaching Tampa Bay and Sarasota on Wednesday, tornadoes were tearing across the eastern part of Florida. A distance of 200 miles away from the storm's center, many Floridians found themselves seeking shelter in the path of numerous tornado warnings.

Tornado reports are slowly starting to trickle in from different weather service offices in Florida. Let's start in Fort Pierce. The above VIDEO was an EF-3 tornado with winds of 155 mph. This tornado sadly claimed the lives of several people on Wednesday. The next report (below) is from the Palm Beach Gardens and Wellington, FL area. This tornado was also rated an EF-3 with winds of 140 mph!

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Miami, Florida, there have been at least 55 tornado warnings issued by NWS Miami. In total between NWS Miami, NWS Melbourne, and NWS Tampa there have been at least 100 tornado warnings issued across central and southern Florida.
