The waves breached a seawall in Scituate, Massachusetts, on Thursday, January 4, as a powerful Nor’easter battered the East Coast.
The National Guard was dispatched to the area as the water poured over the seawall, flooding area streets with icy sea water,
a news report said. Those living along the shore had already been asked to evacuate.

Not far from Scituate, Brant Rock also saw storm surge during the winter storm.

Firefighters and the National Guard responded to two rescues in Brant Rock,
according to a news report. People living along Massachusetts south shore were encouraged to evacuate ahead of the storm, which affected most of the east coast.
