Severe Storm Threat Diminishes for the Southeast

Strong storms brought gusty winds across east Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi and Alabama yesterday. Severe reports were not as widespread as the tornado outbreak the weekend before. However, big changes on the temperature side of things: Arctic Outbreak Impacts U.S.

The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has downgraded the severe threat to a marginal risk for Monday. Damaging winds and spin-up tornadoes will be the primary concern.
