The threat of severe weather continues this Friday. Thunderstorms capable of producing a few tornadoes will be possible. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a marginal risk (level 1), as damaging winds and isolated hail will also be possible.

For the rest of Friday night, we will see some scattered thunderstorms continue into areas of East Texas. The severe threat has decreased quite a bit but a thunderstorm or two will be capable of reaching severe limits.

Moisture continues to spew into the region from the Gulf of Mexico, and will increase the risk of flooding in this region. Hurricane Raphael is also churning in the Gulf adding in the surge of moisture to this system as well.
