The threat for severe weather continues Thursday morning into the afternoon from the Middle Mississippi Valley into the lower part of the Ohio Valley. There's a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in place for parts of Oklahoma, Arkansas, and into Missouri until 8 AM CT. The main threat will be for damaging winds but we also can't rule out tornadoes anywhere in our Slight and Marginal Risk areas. This includes cities such as Indianapolis, Memphis, Louisville, Little Rock, Columbus, and Nashville. There is a risk for tornadoes as this system makes it way to the east, so make sure you have your plan in place of what to do and where to go if/when a tornado warning is issued. In addition, there will also be a flooding threat from all the heavy rain with this system as well that will continue both Thursday and Friday. Stay with WeatherNation as we will be covering this top weather headline all morning. For WeatherNation, I'm Meteorologist Meredith Garofalo
